Imagine thousands of churches in every conference, union and division praying at the same time for the same thing. Imagine millions of Seventh-day Adventists praying together for the outpouring of the early and latter rain, for revival and reformation. Imagine the church on a global scale following the pattern found in Acts 2, where the disciples gathered together to lay aside their differences, and unite in earnest, heartfelt confession and pleading for power to go out and give a message of life to a dying world. Thousands were converted in a day by 120 praying disciples. Imagine what can happen, if millions of praying members are empowered with the Holy Spirit!

Operation Global Rain started in 2007 as a grassroots movement of prayer focused upon revival and reformation on a global scale. As a result over 1800 churches from over 90 countries participated in an unprecedented prayer event for the Adventist church, 10 days of prayer for the outpouring of God's Holy Spirit. Many people and churches experienced revival, and many testimonies were heard of people coming back to the fold as a direct result of OGR. Since then, once a year OGR has brought about a unified time (10 Days) of prayer across the globe.

But with over some 60,000 Adventist churches in the world, an additional 60,000 more companies, this was by far a small number of participants. However, as a result of the Spirit�s leading, much prayer and a greater desire to see revival and reformation throughout the world church, the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists has voted to make this annual prayer event a priority operation for the global church.

On every side doors were thrown open to the proclamation of the truth. The world seemed to be lightened with the heavenly influence. Great blessings were received by the true and humble people of God."

"In the future the earth is to be lightened with the glory of God. A holy influence is to go forth to the world from those who are sanctified through the truth. The earth is to be encircled with an atmosphere of grace. The Holy Spirit is to work on human hearts, taking the things of God and showing them to men."

The descent of the Holy Spirit upon the church is looked forward to as in the future; but it is the privilege of the church to have it now. Seek for it, pray for it, believe for it. We must have it, and Heaven is waiting to bestow it.

I saw jets of light shining from cities and villages, and from the high places and the low places of the earth. God's word was obeyed, and as a result there were memorials for Him in every city and village. His truth was proclaimed throughout the world.
